Hui-Hua Lu

Hui-Hua Lu is a PhD student in translation studies at the University of Exeter. She is the award holder of Global Excellence Scholarship from the College of Humanities, University of Exeter. Her PhD project focuses on text-image interplay in translation. Before coming to Exeter, she completed an undergraduate degree in digital arts at the University of Oregon, USA, where she developed her interests in arts and imaging. After her undergraduate degree, she went back to Taiwan to work as a graphic designer and web designer until her passion for languages led her to teaching English and translation. She then completed her master degree in translation studies at Newcastle University. She has been teaching English for almost ten years and is a translator since 2014. Beginning from next year (2020), she will be a teaching assistant here at the University of Exeter.​
